I have uploaded folders containing many more of my template files
to a password protected account on 4Shared file sharing website.
To gain access to the files in order to download them click this link---> 4shared Login Page
Login using ---> sharpshorts3001gmail.com and use ---> abc123 as the password...
A successful login will open a page showing 2 folders. The first folder is named "ApexTrader .xml Templates" ...
It contains 12 different template files for the charts shown at the bottom of this page.
The second is named "Earlier ApexTrader Templates" and contains 50 different template files.
Click the check-box next to either (or both) folders to download their entire contents.
Use the Download as Zip button.
For individual template files, double click a folder to open it and then select a template file (or several files).
Click the Download button ...if another download page opens, click the download button there too.
After downloading is complete, create and name a new file some place where you will be able to find it later.
Un-zip the downloaded files, i.e. Extract the files to that new folder.
Except for the chart size, the symbol and the period, my templates will open
in your software exactly as shown in the pictures on this page...
Installation of new template(s) - - follow the instructions below :
1) Start your ApexTrader software...
2) Right click any open chart, select Template, then click Load from file...
Your ApexTrader Template folder will open.
3) Copy any or all of the .xml file(s) that you just downloaded and paste them into that folder.
4) Select one of the newly pasted ones and then click the Open button on that window...
That template will then get applied to your chart.
You can then make any changes to it's properties if you like (for example, to match your color preferences).
Keep those changes by creating a new template I.E. right click the chart once more, select Template and :
1) click Save Template - type a new name to save it to ApexTrader's internal template list.
2) click Save to File - type that same name to save to the ApexTrader Template folder.
Otherwise any changes you may have made will over-write the original template.
BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING WARNING
Note that most of my templates are setup with multiple vertical "Time Lines" that automatically print every 30 minutes.
Those templates are suitable for using on intra-day time frames. If you want to use my templates on Daily, weekly or monthly chart periods
be sure to apply them into an intra-day period chart AND turn the Time Lines properties to False (see this link) .
Once the time lines are disabled you can change the chart's period to the longer term time frame if you desire.
Neglecting this step may cause the Apextrader program to lock-up or become un-responsive because
there will be far too many vertical lines to print on the chart when longer term periods are used...
So those time lines should be disabled before switching periods to Daily or weekly time frames.
